Phishing Emails

We have been made aware of several phishing emails sent out to a small number of our customers, claiming that you are almost out of your disk quota (we do not apply disk quotas) and should click a link to resolve the issue - the link leads to a fake cpanel login page which aims to capture your login details.
These emails are not legitimate and have not been sent from our domain name. If you receive a message like this and are unsure if it is a spoofed message or not, please contact our support team.
Please do not click on any links within these spoofed emails as they link off to a 'false' page that appears to be our website but is hosted on an entirely separate domain name and is unrelated to us. The ‘spoofed’ login page is intended to capture your client area login details and credit card information.
The only website URL which will host your client area will be https://www.darkeritsolutions.uk/client/login
We have no evidence to suggest that there has been any compromise of our systems or our database. The emails appear to be sent to generic info@ addresses, and we suspect the attackers are simply looking up domain records, discovering them to be hosted on our registered IP ranges and sending appropriate phishing links to either catch-all or publicly available email addresses via Google search (or similar).
We are also aware of some other providers in the UK who have experienced or are experiencing similar phishing attacks.
As with all phishing emails, the vast majority of such attempts will "miss"; however (by sheer volume), a percentage of shots will "hit" the mark, and an email will be received. As with all elements involving passwords or potentially sensitive data on the internet, we caution you to be vigilant and always check website addresses twice.
However, and to improve your account security with Unlimited Web Hosting, please remember that we offer Two Factor Authentication (2FA) and highly recommend that users set this up within their client area. You can find this under 'Security Settings'.
If you have any further questions, our support team are happy to help.
